About this project
A representative high-end basement theater in Alpine. The homeowners wanted true theater-grade acoustic isolation so movie nights wouldn't carry to upstairs bedrooms in their 8,000 sq ft home. We used double-stud wall framing with mineral wool insulation, decoupled the ceiling with resilient channel, and treated the side walls with acoustic panels for first-reflection control. Tiered seating riser was framed in-place and bolted to the slab. Equipment install was handled by a separate AV integrator partner.
This project was completed as part of our Basement Finishing service.

- 1,200 sq ft dedicated theater + wet bar build-out
- Double-stud walls with Roxul Safe'n'Sound insulation for STC-55 isolation
- Decoupled ceiling assembly with resilient channel
- Tiered seating riser framed to 7" rise per row
- Acoustic panel treatment on side walls
- Wet bar with cabinet beverage fridge, ice maker, and sink
